I have over three year’s experience writing, editing, and creating email promotions.
As a consultant at Central Ohio IT, I edit and send monthly iContact email newsletters for a national client, Testori USA.
As the Marketing Manager at The American Ceramic Society (ACerS), I wrote, edited, and created email promotions for three – ten emails per week to promote their technical meetings, products, and membership, with a 22% average open rate. I performed A/B testing on subject lines to create the best open rates over time.
Prior to that, I was the marketing coordinator at AircraftLogs, where I was responsible for all marketing messaging. I wrote and executed sales and marketing Constant Contact email campaigns to increase sales from both new and existing clients, with an average open rate of 27-36%.
I improved monthly email campaigns to current clients that gave them details about the deployment software updates, including screen shots for better understanding. Previously, deployments were sent out sporadically with many clients not even receiving the updates.
I also created a successful email questionnaire via Survey Monkey, that created excitement and interest in future software enhancements.
Copywriting and Copyediting
I have over five years’ experience copywriting and editing.
I have copyedited multiple projects for M&M Healthcare.
At Central Ohio IT, I write and edit website copy to optimize client messaging, branding, and web presence.
As the marketing project manager at ACerS, I wrote and edited webpage copy to promote over 15 annual meetings, and various products and services to their global audience of scientists and engineers. I wrote copy and helped design marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, postcards, ads, signage) to showcase ACerS meetings, products, and services. I also created monthly meeting pages and advertisements for the American Ceramic Society Bulletin. As the project manager lead for the marketing team for the Materials Science & Technology (MS&T) annual meeting, I led our four-person team as we created and adhered to our annual marketing calendar timeline; created our annual budget; and created four printed pieces (brochures, postcards, and a 230-page program directory.)
At AircraftLogs, I created a current client list which was used for marketing research and future prospecting efforts.
Event Planning and Project Management
I have over six years’ experience in event planning and project management.
At ACerS, I was responsible to create visually interesting booth and table top displays for our various meetings to best represent ACerS message, products, and services, resulting in increased booth traffic and improved member relations.
At AircraftLogs, I coordinated all trade show logistics for the NBAA and Schedulers and Dispatchers’ conferences, including email campaigns before, during, and after the shows; booth setup; marketing slicks and collateral materials. These efforts resulted in a 60% increase in booth traffic and visibility. We doubled our booth size for the first time in company history as a result.
Social Media and Apps
At Central Ohio IT, I have introduced and implemented social media (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest) to clients to help them increase their online presence.
At The American Ceramic Society, I was the marketing team lead for MS&T, a joint partnership between five leading materials science-related societies. We were tasked with the MS&T mobile app. The app frustrated users and was not user friendly. The following year, I improved user features, created continuity using the same verbiage as the 230-page program directory, and eliminated redundancies. The improved app was a much more positive user experience for meeting attendees. On the follow-up questionnaire, attendees noted the improvements, and positive user experience.
At AircraftLogs, I managed all social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+) resulting in 47% increase of followers across the platforms. I setup a weekly social media calendar for posts, increasing presence and brand awareness.
